What Is In Your Potatoes?

Stefani Tolson · November 24, 2011 · 8 Comments

I just LOVE mashed potatoes. I sometimes use instant, but never on Thanksgiving.

Today, my KitchenAid 7 quart stand mixer came in real handy when I made our yummy mashed potatoes.

I want to know, what do you put in your mashed potatoes? Do you have a secret ingredient?

I used my 7 Qt for potatoes today too! This year I was super fatty and used a stick of butter, salt and some heavy whipping cream with a little milk too.

I usually make mine pretty simply with potatoes and butter/margarine, milk, salt and pepper! Although at Halloween, I’ve been known to add green food coloring, stick them into a plastic bag with the end snipped off, and “Ice” them onto the plate in the shape of snakes. I then add olive and pimento to make eyes and a tongue. I suppose that’s a special ingredient, although it’s no secret ’cause I got it from a Bett Crocker Halloween cookbook! 😀

I know I’m strange but I put Mayo in them. I learned it from my husband he makes better mashed potatoes than me.
