This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Silk. The opinions and text are all mine.

Chocolate is one of my weaknesses. I love chocolate in all sorts of forms, especially in a nice cold or hot beverage. If you are a fan of the Silk products, you are in for a sweet treat!

On the Silk Facebook page, you can visit their Silkology Winter Tab to find recipes for 16 different YUMMY beverages that include the Silk products.

Silkology – Fresh, innovative cocktails and beverages combining the art of mixology with the delicious flavors of Silk.® A perfect solution for holiday entertaining.

From the Silkology page, I made the Double Chocolate Smoothie which was pretty good and the recipe is below:

Double Chocolate Smoothie Recipe

Author Silk - ThisMomCanCook.com

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Silk Chocolate soymilk or Silk Pure Almond Dark Chocolate
  • 1 banana peeled, sliced and frozen
  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tsp honey optional

Instructions

  1. Freeze banana for at least an hour or overnight. Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth and thick. Serve with a bendy straw.
  2. Note: For a super-thick, milkshake-style smoothie, add two frozen bananas instead of one.

Since my banana was small I added a couple ice cubes to my blender to make my smoothie thicker and added a sprinkle of cinnamon on the top! 🙂

If you like to come up with your own recipes and you like the Silk products, I recommend submitting a recipe to Silk’s Holiday Recipe Contest. You don’t have to make a beverage either, you can get creative and make any recipe that uses the soy milk, almond milk or coconut milk as a substitute for milk or dairy products. (View Official Rules)

When you upload your recipe, you have the chance to win a KitchenAid Stand Mixer and Silk for a year! There are 3 different categories you can submit your recipe under and the top 10 vote-getters in each category will become finalists. What is neat is all qualified entries will receive a Silk Apron.
