First you will want to remove the stem from the top of the bell pepper and cut off the top (about 1/2 inch). Keep the tops but throw away everything else inside.
-
Next cut a few of the tops from the bell peppers into small pieces.
-
In a skillet add 1 pound of lean ground beef, add the bell peppers and cook until meat is browned. Drain fat and replace pan back on stove.
-
Add 1 packet of the Sweet & Smoky Sloppy Joes McCormick’s Skillet Sauce and stir.
-
Add 1 cup cooked rice and 1 cup shredded cheese and mix until blended.
-
Add the meat mixture into each of the bell peppers making sure not to put to much. With 6 bell peppers mine filled each pepper almost 3/4 full or more.
-
Bake at 350° degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and top each bell pepper with some mozzarella cheese. Bake another 15 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.
-
Remove from oven, allow to cool and enjoy!
