Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 Package Sweet & Smoky Sloppy Joes McCormick’s ® Skillet Sauces®
  • 4-6 bell peppers
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar/jack mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheese mozzarella

Instructions

  1. First you will want to remove the stem from the top of the bell pepper and cut off the top (about 1/2 inch). Keep the tops but throw away everything else inside.
  2. Next cut a few of the tops from the bell peppers into small pieces.
  3. In a skillet add 1 pound of lean ground beef, add the bell peppers and cook until meat is browned. Drain fat and replace pan back on stove.
  4. Add 1 packet of the Sweet & Smoky Sloppy Joes McCormick’s Skillet Sauce and stir.
  5. Add 1 cup cooked rice and 1 cup shredded cheese and mix until blended.
  6. Add the meat mixture into each of the bell peppers making sure not to put to much. With 6 bell peppers mine filled each pepper almost 3/4 full or more.
  7. Bake at 350° degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and top each bell pepper with some mozzarella cheese. Bake another 15 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.
  8. Remove from oven, allow to cool and enjoy!
