Up until yesterday, I had only used mustard in a liquid form out of a bottle. With all the cooking I have done, I never realized there was an actual dry version of mustard that I could use in my food.

I was making deviled eggs and I remembered that I received a neat tin of Colman’s Mustard to check out. Since I use mustard in my eggs, I thought I would go ahead and try some with my egg mix and see if anyone would notice. I thought they tasted good and I guess so did everyone else because all of my eggs got gobbled up.

Here is a peak of my deviled eggs with the Colman’s Mustard in the mix….

After thinking about it, I didn’t get a chance to eat any eggs of this tray so they must have been good!

I have found a product that I think I might just have to keep as a staple in my pantry. This is something that might just win over on the peanut butter when I am making a sandwich because it is that good. And I LOVE peanut butter. What I am thinking about right now is the Biscoff Spread by Lotus Bakeries. This stuff isn’t just yummy, it is delicious.

I think the Biscoff Spread is perfect with just a piece of bread or a bagel. I was thinking it might be a great to use in some of my dessert recipes too! If you have not tried it, it is a sweet creamy spread that is made with original Lotus Biscoff Cookies. My husband gave me funny looks when he first seen me eating it on a piece of bread. The next time I ate some, I made him a piece and he asked for another piece. I don’t think I am sharing with the kids….

For those of you that have an allergy to peanuts, this might be perfect because it contains NO NUTS.

You know up until last month, I had never tried the Heinz 57 Sauce. I am a big fan of condiments and I had never tried Heinz 57 Sauce on anything. Don’t get me wrong, I have heard of it and seen the bottle on the shelves the grocery store, just never grabbed a bottle to buy. This year Heinz 57 Sauces is celebrating their 100th Anniversary, so that right there must mean that the stuff is good!

Sometimes there are those that have their favorite steak sauce and they don’t want try anything else, wink wink. Well what I found out is that Heinz 57 tastes awesome on chicken. When it comes to meals that I prepare, I would say that we eat chicken more often than all other meats. With that said, I am always looking for new ways to give it some flavor. This past month I have been using the Heinz 57 in various chicken dishes to give it some zest. The kids and the hubby have been pleased with my Heinz 57 chicken dishes too!

I will definitely be keeping a bottle on stock in my fridge!

Below is a recipe that you can find on the Heinz 57 website for Heinz 57 Chicken Turnovers.

I have a new love for Biscotti!

Up until this last week, I never really thought much of Biscotti. I have heard the word, but never knew just how good a piece of Biscotti could be. That is up until I took my first bite of a Nonni’s Turtle Pecan Biscotti. Don’t get me wrong, there are other Nonni’s Biscotti that are good, but this one is SUPER GOOD in my opinion.

The Nonni’s Turtle Pecan Biscotti could be described as a light crunchy cookie that is filled with the finest pecans available, blended with creamy caramel and dipped in gourmet milk chocolate. This is an awesome combination that will have you eating more than just one.

While these are great for dipping, they are great alone as well. They are individually packaged in the box and have a calorie value of only 110. These yummy treats are also All Natural!

Nonni’s Biscotti is made with real eggs and butter, making them rich in flavor, light and crunchy in texture, and delicately sweet. They are baked twice, then individually wrapped to ensure that the cookies you get are exactly as Nonni intended them- fresh tasting and of the highest quality.

We also received for review some of the other flavors that include: Cioccolati Biscotti, Decadence Biscotti, Originali Biscotti and Classic Almond Biscotti. We LOVED them all….

If you are looking for a bite size Biscotti, try the Nonni’s Biscotti Bites…. We received some of these and they were just as good, just a small version.

One thing we can never keep stock in our pantry is chips. When there are kids in the home, chips seems to be one of the easiest things to snack on and they tend to go FAST! I will admit that chips are not the healthiest option when it comes to snacks, but we all like chips and we are not going to give them up.

This past month we received some YUMMY all natural chips from Food Should Taste Good. I had seen these chips in the natural food section of my local grocery store and had always wondered just how good these chips really were. I mean with a brand name “Food Should Taste Good”, one might think these chips are going to be good. I was right, they are!

Food Should Taste Good has 11 different flavors all natural chips in 5.5oz bags you are sure to love. While I have not tried all of them, I did enjoy the different flavors that we received for review.

Out of the five flavors that I tried, I will have to say that the Chocolate was my FAVORITE. I was a little skeptical at first because it was something “different”, but after eating one of the chips it was hard putting the bag down. Since I love chocolate and I like chips, the two make a perfect combination.

Don’t think you will like the Chocolate all natural chips? Check out lineup of yummy flavors:

Multigrain, Sweet Potato, Olive, Jalapeño, The Works!, Chocolate, Lime, Blue Corn, Cheddar, Toasted Sesame, and White Cheddar.

If you are looking for a healthy snack, check out why you choose these chips….

At my house we eat a ton of tacos. Not at one time, but just in general. We even have a little tradition we try to do each week called “Taco Tuesdays” where I get out the frying pan and make homemade tacos. Today I made my first fish taco. I know its not Tuesday, but I am practicing. What was really cool was my picky daughter Hannah made a fish taco for lunch too. She is almost 7 years old and not one to eat any kind of fish. I think I might have got her interested in it now.

Since it is Saturday and I felt like being lazy, I made my fish tacos today using the Sea Pak Popcorn Fish. I LOVE this product and wish to keep it as a staple in my freezer. The Sea Pak Popcorn Fish is made with small bits of flaky white fish that are then coated with Sea Pak’s signature breadcrumb coating. These are perfect bite sized fish that are ready in only 14 minutes. These can be used as a snack or even as a meal. Today I decided to use them to make Fish Tacos! I even used a tomato from my own garden!

When it comes to snacking, cheese and crackers can sometimes really hit the spot. This is especially true if you have a box of Ritz Crackerfuls on hand…..

This month I have had the opportunity to try the Ritz Multigrain Crackerfuls. The Ritz Multigrain Crackerfuls are the same as a regular Ritz Crackerful but made with multigrains. These crackers are made with real cheese, 5 grams of fiber and 8 grams of whole grain per serving. They are sold in a box of 6 individually wrapped crackers.

We tried the three multigrain varieties and I LOVE them all. For me, I can’t just eat one either. Once I eat one of these YUMMY crackers, I have to have another one. Maybe they will come out in 2 packs in the future. We tried the Sharp Cheddar, Garden Vegetable and Garlic Herb flavors. I am a fan of cheddar, so of the three varieties that I tried, the Ritz Multigrain Sharp Cheddar Crackerfuls are my FAVORITE!

One thing that my kids and I enjoy during the summer months is flavored ice pops. They are a fun and tasty way to quench your thirst when its hot. One thing I don’t think I have ever enjoyed was holding anything frozen. When I seen a product that holds frozen ice pops, I knew I had to have a couple for the kids.

We received a package of the Ice Huggys for review. The kids were so excited to be able to use these, it was actually funny listening to my six and three year old talk them talk about them. The Ice Huggy helps keep your frozen treats frozen and not your fingers. I wish I would have these when I was a kid!

Not only do these help keep the frozen ice pops or treats frozen, they might help save on paper towel usage at your house. I know my kids like to hold their treats with a paper towel and now we can save some paper towels this summer.

If you ask my children what mom cooks the most, you will probably hear them all say chicken. This happens to be one meat that everyone in my family likes to eat. With that said, we probably have chicken at least a couple times a week if not more. What I normally do is buy frozen chicken breast in bulk. I normally buy a 3 pound or a 5 pound pack of frozen chicken breasts that will usually make at least 2 dinners if I am lucky.

We recently had the opportunity to review the Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast Strips. I think this might be the first time I actually bought frozen chicken breasts that were already cooked. Since I enjoy cooking, I normally prefer to buy them uncooked so I can season and cook them myself. Since I like chicken wraps, I thought these might come in handy when I want to make a quick lunch.

I totally will be buying these again in future. I know that I can make my own chicken breast strips, but I also like the word convenient. Sometimes I like to be lazy and stick my food in the microwave. I think I used the whole bag on making wraps for lunches this past month.

Here is my Chipotle Chicken Wrap Recipe…

Ingredients:

4 to 5 Tyson Grilled And Ready Chicken Breast Strips (heated up)

1 flour tortilla

2 TBS Chipotle BBQ Sauce

Shredded Cheese – to your liking

Lettuce – to your liking

Directions: Place ingredients in a flour tortilla and enjoy

I find the Tyson Grilled and Ready Chicken Breasts Strips to be good and convenient. They also come in chicken breast fillets too if you want bigger pieces.

When it comes to frozen food, I tend to be picky. I don’t eat just any frozen meal. Since I like to cook and make most of our meals from scratch, food with preservatives usually isn’t my first choice. There are those days when I don’t want to cook or maybe I am in a hurry to eat, so I will throw a frozen meal in the microwave or oven to satisfy my hunger.

Today I tried one of the new Stouffer’s Stuffed Melts and Soups. As with any frozen meal I am new to trying, I have my doubts. I don’t think I have ever heard of soup being included in a frozen meal, but I was eager to try it. With the Stouffer’s Stuffed Melts, there are three different varieties. I chose to try the Three Cheese and Ham Stuffed Melt with Creamy Tomato Bisque Soup.

This meal takes about 5 minutes to make, but totally worth it. If you are someone that takes frozen meals to work for lunch, these are totally perfect. I can’t wait to try the other 2 varieties now. I was afraid the sandwich was going to be soggy, but it wasn’t. The outside of the bread was hard like it should be with the inside being soft. Then the soup was also good. It was creamy and I really like the taste.

The two other varieties of the Stouffer’s Stuffed Melts include:

Chicken Bacon Ranch Stuffed Melt with Baked Potato Soup

Steak and Swiss Stuffed Melt with Broccoli Cheddar soup

When it comes to frozen food, I tend to be picky. I don’t eat just any frozen meal.
