Try The New #CoronaRita At Chili’s

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Chili’s Grill & Bar for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I LOVE Chili's.

They have awesome food and they have awesome prices. With a family of six, it can get a little expensive when taking the family out to eat, so I tend to be picky where we head out to eat as a group. Not only do I use coupons at Chili's and always have been able to find some online before I go, I have also found that I can use the FourSquare app on my phone to check in and score even more goodies. The last couple times I have ate Chili's, I have got an order of chips and salsa for free for checking in with my phone.

My last trip I even got a FREE dessert using a coupon I printed from their website. Talk about good deal! It is also one of my favorite spots to go when we don't have the kids!

Looking for something to do on Cinco de Mayo? Celebrate the evening with a great meal at Chili's.  Not only do they have delicious food, they also now have the CoronaRitas for those of you that want to have a cool beer with your meal. If I was to go to Chili's, I would order their fajitas. I LOVE how they come hot and sizzling right to the table. Since I like do like a cold Corona on occasion, I might enjoy my meal with a cold CoronaRita too!

My favorite items on the menu are definitely the fajitas. The last time I visited I had quesadillas that were delicious, but I always finding myself going back to the sizzling hot fajitas!

What is your favorite item on their menu?

Will you be trying a CoronaRita at Chili's

You must be 21 years or older to drink alcoholic beverages and as always, please remember to drink responsibly.

Veri Peri Sauce Review & Giveaway

When it comes to cooking, I am a big fan of using different spices, sauces, marinades and other condiments with my meals. If you see me cooking say chicken in my kitchen, it probably has been marinated or seasoned to make it taste even better.

This last couple weeks, I have made a few dishes with some of the Veri Peri sauces.

I received their Garlic, Lemon Herb and Veri Hot sauces to review. The first one that I used was the Veri Peri Lemon & Herb Sauce. I marinated some chicken breasts with this sauce, then baked the chicken in the oven. When I served this meal to my family, I remember my husband telling me it was the best chicken I had ever made. Score for me! I had to then make it again a few nights later.

I have also made a chicken dish for my family, cooking the chicken in a skillet with the Veri Peri Garlic Sauce. I thought it came out pretty well. I have to admit, I haven’t tried the Veri Hot sauce yet. My youngest children don’t like anything spicy, so I will have to wait until I am cooking for just mom and dad to use this bottle.

What I think I like most about these sauces is that you can’t just find them at the grocery store. They are actually the #1 sauce brand in South Africa and also a staple in many of the homes there. I like to use products that are unique and I enjoyed tasting these sauces with my food.

These are just three of the Veri Peri Sauces, I can’t wait to try the others.  You can find out more about these sauces at: www.veriperiusa.com

Rolled Sugar Cookie Recipe + Nutella

The kids were on Spring Break last week which meant getting less work done for me and more time in the kitchen. I actually was in the mood to bake and made some cute flower sugar cookies. I made quite a bit of dough, so I was able to make some good size cookies. When you add Nutella on your sugar cookies once they are cooled, they are delicious.

Below is a easy recipe for rolled sugar cookie dough:

Recipe type: Dessert
Author: ThisMomCanCook.com
Ingredients
  • 5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups butter – room temperature
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sugar
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, vanilla, baking powder and salt until blended.
  3. Slowly fold in flour and knead until it becomes a dough consistency.
  4. Cover and chill in fridge for at least an hour.
  5. Roll about 1 inch thick and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. For larger cookies, back 10-11 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Remove from oven, cool and frost with Nutella!

These cookies are good alone, but incredibly better with Nutella.
